First, type or paste your poem within the area below. When done, click the words "Step 2" above to add color.
Now you can add colors. To do this, select "Color" from the word actions if not already chosen. Then pick which word category you want to color. For example, select Verb to color in green.
With a color chosen, add color by clicking once on individual words within your poem. Clicking a word again will clear the color. Use as many word categories as you like to define your poem's "palette".
When you are done coloring, you can also focus in on a single color if you wish. This is a way to visually highlight one word category.
To do this, select "Focus" from the word actions, then choose any category you wish. All parts of your poem except what you picked will partially fade out, giving you a clearer view.
If you wish to save your colorized poem, take a screen shot or picture. The built-in "Print" function of a browser will not recognize the added colors.
You can start over by refreshing this page from your browser or clicking the words "Step 1" above (this will also discard your added colors).
